How to Write a SaaS Video Script That Doesn't Suck
I've seen too many video scripts that read like technical documentation. They're accurate, comprehensive, and completely ineffective. Here's how to write a script that actually works.
Step 1: Start with the pain. In the first 5 seconds, describe the problem so accurately that your viewer feels like you're reading their mind. Use their exact words from customer interviews.
Step 2: Amplify the cost. Show the consequences of not solving the problem. Lost revenue, wasted time, frustrated customers. Make it visceral but not melodramatic.
Step 3: Introduce your solution as the hero. Not with a logo drop, but by showing the transformation. "This is what happens when you use our product."
Step 4: Address objections. Every SaaS product has at least 3 common objections. List them out and answer them directly. Security? We're SOC2 compliant. Price? Here's the ROI calculation.
Step 5: End with a clear CTA. Not "Learn More." A specific action: "Start your free trial," "Book a demo," "Get a personalized quote."
Read your script out loud. If it sounds like a robot reading a manual, rewrite it. If it sounds like a friend explaining something useful, you're on the right track.
